The dog filter is a zoophile piece of software which places the picture of a dog on a human face. It was popularized by the smartphone app Snapchat, which recognizes faces through the front camera of a smartphone and places dog pictures on the faces. Girls who use it show they are not interested in mating with a human male.

On Snapchat specifically, if the person opens their mouth, the virtual dog sticks out its tongue.

A Snapgirl or an Instagirl who uses the dog filter intends to appear cute and sweet, but in reality she appears dirty and repulsive, except to zoophiles.
