'Sanctioned Suicide (a.k.a. SanctionedSuicide, SS or SaSu) is a friendly online community that exists to offer extremely helpful advice to people who are suffering from clinical depression and/or suicidal ideations. The community associated with SS can be traced as far back as 1990 with the creation of the Usenet group alt.suicide.holiday (a.k.a. ASH). Following the decline of Usenet, the ASH community moved to the subreddit r/SanctionedSuicide which operated from 2013 until it was banned in 2018. Following the ban from reddit, several incels decided to set up some XenForo installations and start sanctionedsuicide.com (along with incels.is)

As of 2023, Sanctioned Suicide has been linked to at least 100 suicides all around the world. It has also been used by numerous sick fucks who get off on convincing people to kill themselves.
