Our Investigation
Wolfboi has been a poster on BoyChat for some time and has often talked about being a Registered Sex Offender. Here are the steps taken to verify that Wolfboi is Jay Childers.
- Using the Email address he had posted on BoyChat a simple Google search was done.
- That search revealed online postings by a man named "Tony" and referenced, in part, that he had been in Wisconsin and later moved to Florida. These postings were sexual in nature.
- Searching a PhotoBucket account he had posted on BoyChat, a photo of an adult male was found. Other photos on this account were of him as a young child, and used as "sigpics" on BoyChat. BoyChat posters are only allowed to use pictures of themselves.
- Searches also showed that others had determined his real-life identity.
- Using the information that others had already found, a search was done of the Florida sex offender registry. The photo of the offender on that listing, matched with that of the adult male on the PhotoBucket account. A search was also done of the Wisconsin sex offender registry, which helped us to determine that both offender listings were of the same person.
- Details of the sex offense (which occurred in Wisconsin) & officially documented information were compared to posts he made on BoyChat and other Websites/forums. Those details matched, with the exception of one forum he posted on, in which he claimed that he sexually offended a girl, when in fact it was a boy that he molested.

I was keeping a journal at the time of my arrest. In it I discussed my thoughts and feelings about my yf and our relationship, agonizing over whether or not to step over that line into acts that could be termed illegal. Agonizing as well over my recent epiphany, that I was a boylover (I used the term pedophile in the journal, never having heard of BL at the time) and that the heterosexual front I had thrown up over the years was just that. I eventually detailed our first and subsequent sexual encounters, not just the physical aspects, but what we'd said and thought.
There were many companies with whom I applied whos stated requirements were for no felonies for the last 3 years, or 5 or even 10. Mine was over ten when I started looking and they were all happy to talk, until they found out what it was for. (I admit I changed the circumstances of my crime so that the victim was a year or so older and female rather than male. Made it much more palatable to the person on the other end of the line. Heck, made em downright sympathetic in most cases, although ultimately they didn't have final authority and usually bowed to a written policy)
I was on the phone with a company about a job. Very few companies will hire me because of my record, and rather than go thru all the hoops filling out applications and such, I just tell them straight out I'm a sex offender. During these calls, I change the sex of my 'victim' from male to female, and up the age a couple years. They won't know the details in any case and it tends to make them sympathetic to my situation.

The Sexual Assault
The sexual assault took place in Pierce County, Wisconsin. The boy met Jay (Tony) Childers when he was 13 years old (summer of 1995), and Tony was working at a video store. The events occurred not long after the boy turned 14. Turns out that Tony was an acquaintance of the boy's parents and had even helped them move - but they really got to know each other through the video store.
I owned a small chain of stores (that's enough detail I think). Had lots of items kids were interested in as well as a couple arcade games. He started hanging around the store. Pretty soon we were best friends.
Tony himself was also going to be moving (to Ohio) in December of 1995. It is not quite clear just how long Tony & the boy were actually together. Once school started, they didn't see each other as much. In the fall of 1995, Tony helped the boy's parents move. It wasn't until just prior to moving, that things started to heat up. The boy was starting to become more and more uncomfortable and afraid, and expressed his feelings to Tony. But that didn't stop him - Tony laid the ol' guilt trip out and didn't care that the boy was worried. But yet in the next breath, he'd proclaim his love. He didn't care but yet he did. Tony would go to the boy's house (the parents were there) but the criminal acts took place at Tony's apartment. Apparently, they'd hang out and watch movies (and not always the kid-friendly type), and Tony would "tickle" the boy. There was a lot of kissing and fondling involved, which eventually turned into mutual masturbation and oral sex. On two occasions, Tony took pictures of the boy....and had him pose with his boxer shorts on - standing up, standing on his hands and even hanging upside down. When asked why he was taking pictures, Tony told the boy that he needed to use up the film on his camera.
One day, Tony asked the boy to go to his apartment early and sleep with him for a couple of hours. By this time the boy was thinking that something wasn't quite right, so he DID still go - but went later. Tony asked him why he didn't come over earlier and he said that he had overslept. Tony then asked him to stay over on a Saturday night between Thanksgiving and Christmas. The boy said that he could not, because he had to go help his grandparents. The Friday before Christmas, the boy ended up staying at Tony's apartment. He and Tony slept together in the bed. Tony asked the boy if he knew that he (Tony) loved him. The boy was thinking he meant as friends, but also knew that it wasn't quite right, and said at that point he started to be afraid. Tony kept asking the boy if he didn't like him now, because of what he had said. The boy said that he DID still like him, but he was afraid. Tony hugged and kissed him and told him that he didn't know what he would do without him, then started crying. Nothing further happened that night. The boy was so scared that he hardly slept. The next morning, the boy got up and showered and Tony brought him home - but asked if the boy would spend the night again.
About 10 days before Tony moved, the boy went to his apartment after school. Tony asked him to take his shirt and pants off. He then asked the boy to take his underwear off, saying that he only wanted to look, though the looking turned into fondling. Tony stayed clothed the entire time, saying how special this time was and that nobody needed to know.
About one week before Tony moved, the boy went to the video store (where Tony was working) to visit with him. They left and went to Tony's apartment, though the boy told Tony he didn't think it was a good idea for him to stay, since Tony had to work the next day. Tony completely ignored him. They had supper and watched TV. Tony was draining his water bed and packing things up. He told Tony again that he didn't think it was a good idea that he stay overnight, and said that Tony should take him home at about 10 or 10:30. Tony commented that he was probably just bored. The boy then made up the excuse that he needed to go home because he had forgotten to take his medications. Tony said that he figured the boy would make up some sort of excuse. Tony DID take him back to his house to pick up the meds. The boy was hoping (in his mind) that someone would be home and say that he should just STAY home, but nobody was so they went back to the apartment.
They got back to the apartment and got ready for bed (sleeping on cushions since the waterbed had been drained). Tony started tickling him on the lower legs and gradually moving up. Eventually it progressed to mutual masturbation and oral sex; while Tony continued to 'hug and kiss' and tell the boy how much he loved him. This happened both that night as well as the next day when they got up. Tony told him that what was happening between them was something special and that that nobody else needed to know.
In the end, Childers was charged with 5 counts of 2nd degree sexual assault of a child, 1 count of child enticement and 1 count of exposing a child to harmful material. All were felonies. Five of the counts were dismissed and he was charged with 2 counts of 2nd degree sexual assault of a child. He eventually moved from Ohio to Florida, and was just released from "supervision" in June of 2006. While he is still on the sex offender registries in both Wisconsin and Florida, he's basically free to do whatever he wants and only has to keep both states informed of where he is living and working.

I've been lying since I got off probation, and you'd be surprised by how many do check nowadays. 5 years ago when I was job hunting nobody checked, but now it's so easy and relatively cheap, hell, free if you just want to check and see if someone is a sex offender, that more and more companies are doing it. The only reason I got the crappy telemarketing job I started last Friday was that I lied on the application. Today I was fired for lying on the application. They'd checked.
