Update, March 12, 2012: Matthew Sluss was sentenced to 33 years and lifetime supervision after that, for advertising child pornography and encouraging other pedophiles to create child pornography.

Matthew David Sluss AKA guildsolutions didn't always think he was gay. He knew that he enjoyed watching boys in the shower at school, but it wasn't until he ventured into cyberspace that he knew for sure - when he was sent a picture of a 14 year old boy. He was hooked. He continued to collect these pictures, even encrypting his computer so that he would never be found out. Unfortunately for him, he was careless in his sharing of login information, and his pictures were found.

In 1995, Sluss was charged in Maryland with possession of child pornography. He was astonished to learn that he could get into trouble by possessing years-old photos of children that he didn't even know. He was also charged with intent to deliver child pornography and fourth degree sexual assault. Having reached a plea deal with the prosecutors, he received 18 months probation and was ordered to obtain counseling and stay away from children, among other conditions.

Sluss later moved to Arkansas and stayed with another pedophile friend. It wasn't quite as fun as he thought it would be, but it did provide him an opportunity to befriend some neighborhood children who were being severely neglected - a common pedophile justification. Having lasted about as long as he could in Arkansas, he returned home to Maryland, where much to his dismay, he found that he was wanted in Arkansas for sexual abuse of the children he had befriended. He was subsequently arrested and put in jail.

In the meantime, Sluss continued to interact with children, even though it was expressly against the conditions of his Maryland conviction for child pornography. To this very day, Sluss continues to interact with children - having taken a trip with at least 2 of them and another adult friend, Eric C. Hagen, aka Evil-unveiled.com/Stewedsquirrel of Aurora, Colorado, in July of 2006, as evidenced by the photo gallery on his blog - http://blog.guildsolutions.com (appears to no longer be active) It is believed that Sluss and Hagen were roommates in Colorado at one time.

Matthew Sluss also has another interesting connection to the pedophile world. In addition to the above, he is also a friend-of-a-friend to Jim Finn, aka Evil-unveiled.com/Jimf3 - who has recently been arrested for possession of child pornography. While Finn's MySpace friends list has been erased (though documented), there was a very clear path between him, "will crocker" and Matthew Sluss. As of this writing, Sluss' MySpace friends list still has children on it. For a registered sex offender who is to remain out of contact with children, this is quite frightening.

In addition to working in the IT profession (he holds an associates degree in computer science from Allegany College of Maryland), Sluss owns an internet hosting service at www.guildsolutions.com. Although his business is not currently registered in the State of Colorado and he explicitly states on his website that he is not taking any new clients, he does still 'have his own servers' so to speak. In addition, he also provided hosting space in the past to at least one child, and was an administrator in conjunction with this same child on another website. Sluss also has an interest in photography and aquariums, as evidenced by the links below; most notably, his photo galleries at http://blog.guildsolutions.com. (appears to no longer be active) He also is interested in remote control airplanes, a hobby which he knows can be expensive, but something he has wanted to do for a very long time.

Besides the child pornography charge, Sluss has formerly been charged with unlawful possession of a credit card number, being in receipt of a stolen credit card, receipt of a credit card unlawfully, being a fugitive from justice (the Arkansas incident), child abuse by custodian, battery and theft.

Our Investigation

While investigating Jimf3, aka Jim Finn, we noticed guildsolutions was a friend-of-a-friend to Finn as evidenced on MySpace. Since Finn was a well-known pedophile activist and because there were children on the friends lists of Finn, Sluss and the mutual friend, it was determined that further investigation was warranted.

Here are the steps taken to verify that "guildsolutions" was actually Matthew David Sluss.

On Sluss' MySpace, he referenced his blog at http://blog.guildsolutions.com. This blog appears to no longer be active, though screen shots were taken.
A check of domain ownership records revealed that the website http://www.guildsolutions.com (and the blog sub domain) belonged to Matt Sluss. Further searching revealed he was in Colorado.
Various online information sources showed his birth date of 12/17/1975, which was one baseline used to corroborate other information being found about him online.
Online databases were used to establish former and/or present addresses and phone numbers.
Using his name, date of birth and location, a search was done on the Colorado sex offender registry, which revealed that he was indeed a registered sex offender.
The picture on his registry entry was used to compare pictures found on http://blog.guildsolutions.com - the comparison verified that they were one and the same.
Searches provided an online history of user names, email addresses and profiles as referenced in this wiki, and were all cross-referenced using the baselines that were established.
Upon finding the sex offender registry information, Maryland court records were searched and information related to the offenses was found.
