Brandon Michael Fleury is a 26-year-old gay autistic edgelord high school dropout from Santa Ana, California who is basically incapable of interacting with other people in a normal capacity. In December 2018, when Brandon was 22, he used thirteen Instagram accounts impersonating notorious murderers like Marjory Stoneman Douglas School Shooting, Ted Bundy, and Jeffrey Dahmer for the express purpose of harassing surviving family members of the children who were murdered during the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting. He sent the traumatized and grieving teens and parents such unprompted messages as:
- "Did you like my Valentines gift? I killed your friends."
- "I gave them no mercy."
- "I killed your loved ones haha."
- "I killed your sister. It was fun. She had her whole life ahead of her and I fucking stole it from her."
- "I took Jaime away from you. You'll never see her again hahaha."
- "I'm your abductor I'm kidnapping you fool."
- "Little Alex Schachter will never play music again."
- "With the power of my AR-15, I erased their existence."
- "With the power of my AR-15, I take your loved ones away from you PERMANENTLY."
- "With the power of my AR-15, you all die."
- "Your grief is my joy."
Arrest and Trial
In January 2019 FBI agents arrived at Brandon's front door to arrest him for interstate cyberstalking and threats to injure or kidnap. He refused to cooperate, and in response the feds were forced to employ the use of an explosive device to extract him from his bedroom.
Brandon explained to federal investigators that he was inspired to become an internet troll by the activities of Lynn Ann, another school shooting fantasist with special needs who had gained online notoriety for her pedophilic obsession with the Columbine High School shooters and for openly mocking their victims on various social media sites.
At trial, the prosecution described Brandon as a psychopathic murder fetishist who by his own admission had literal sexual fantasies about Nikolas Cruz and would likely go on to become a murderer himself if his behavior continued unchecked. His defense lawyers tried to argue that he only did it for the lulz and that an autistic person could not be reasonably expected to understand that their own actions might have repercussions, but the judge was having none of that shit and he was found guilty on all counts.
On October 11, 2021, Brandon was sentenced to 66 months in prison, which he is currently serving.
