SOPA is a bill currently moving though congress and is also known as the Stop Online Piracy Act, that Stupid Censorship thing, H.R.3261, and Online Censorship for the Wondrous Benefit of Glorious nation of Jewnited States of Americunts. SOPA is at currently hot fresh drama, and is also the number one threat to your freedom as of now. Introduced into congress by a Texan fuck, the bill was quickly pushed though congress at a rate rivaling the Patriot Act, helped along by biased hearings, congressional pockets being filled with gold, and a good old fashioned media blackout rivaling the one at Occupy Wall Street. The gist of SOPA is this, if someone does not like your fair use, they can have you shut down, online streaming is now a felony, and any means possible to circumvent the bill is a felony. This means the end of your disk encryption, end of vpns, end of 7 proxies. It will also mean the end of ED, as the bill allows websites not located in the US to be blocked at the border if they are deemed offensive.
