The internet is beautiful because it is one of the last bastions of completely uninhibited human expression and that's what ED was always about. Internet censorship is one of the scariest things in the world, even though I do not agree with nor condone half the content on ED, the fact that there is a place on the internet where literally anything could be posted gives me hope in freedom. It is one of the purest images of the human condition both the good the bad and the horribly obscene. People are people, and there should be a place in this world where the human condition can be displayed in all it's uncensored disgusting glory. If not in celebration then as a monument to how corrupt human nature can become. Honestly ED made me want to be a better person. I have a weird worldview but you can find truth in anything and I believe irony is one of the best ways to accomplish it. There is so much more here then shocking images and stupid banter, if you can take 2 seconds to understand that nobody is serious you can understand the points they are trying to get across. Fucking Images

How do they work?

No but seriously I'm restoring pics to the Gene Simmons page and after uploading, some are coming up blank, others won't generate thumbnails, and others show up blank but the thumbnails generate. Is it just me, or are you guys working on it? --Duckhat 12:24, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

Half of the larger lioncash images wouldn't uplaod for me due to the ever common upload filesize error. It usually happens to large images (that are yes still within filesize limits) and animated .gif files. If its just a broken thumbnail it uploaded fine, just wait. Licensing shit

There's this discussion on the Wikipedia article talk page about this site whether it's all a dreaded Copyright Violation or not. I suppose that's not my concern. But this site's license makes it pretty clear that after the Australians shut it down at gunpoint, no other site will be allowed to host any of the content unless they track down every single contributor. Links needing fixed

I noticed that if you use the search function to look up /b/ and it's related pages, the urls from the search for /b/, /b/-day, and /b/space Day all have a faulty url (http://b/ being the example for the /b/ page). This also applies to the page tab at the top of the articles. I don't know how this could be fixed, but I figured it should be brought up. Corrupt_Zero 06:39, 25 April 2011 (UTC)

Uwe Boll's new movie "Auschwitz"

Uwe Boll pretends to make a serious movie about the Holocauststory, when in fact hiding his troll face deep inside of him. He is completely aware of his status as a trash movie director, and so wants to, it seems sucessfully, ridicule that thing that anyway never happened. He wants to show "how it really was", from having watched six parts of a liberal-jewishprop bbc documentation. The trailer makes the hcstory looks like so unbelievable, that no one should believe this lie anymore. Black People

Ok so once upon a time, way back in January, the former fascist Queen of ED ordered that all the racist material on our great Encyclopedia Dramatica get deleted. This lead to to overzealous admins using Mysterybot's find/replace function to change all of the instances of the words Nigger, Niggers, Nigga, Negro, Jigaboo etc to Black person or Black people.

We need help changing all of the instances of Black person and Black people back to Nigger and Negraboo. Go to Special:Search and punch "Black People" (WITH the qoutes) into the form and hit send, this will give you a list of instances. A proposition

Rather than search to no avail for images that have no thumbnails in tons of articles, why not settle for the ones we already have and remove the rest missing, giving others the chance to add new stuff without feeling restrained?

Another better idea is to move all missing pictures' links/placeholders to the article's talkpage until someone finds the image, leaving the article itself clean for presentation? - Vinland 13:59, 14 May 2011 (UTC)
