Chan board Articles

Well i tried moving all the boards with the board/ format to /board/ format so they are all organized and the same. I noticed you can create an article that starts with / but can't move a page to one that starts with /. It says there is an error. Also when choosing the page or read tabs on articles that start with / it leads to the blank domain(ex:/a/ would lead to Http:///a/). I know a lot of people already know this because you have to pipe board/ to link to a chan article. I know I can just copy+paste an article instead of moving it; and having all the boards in the same name format is pretty pointless, I just wanted to know what other people thought about this and what should be done.

tl;dr- articles that start with / are broken in a lotta ways-nobody gives a shit besides me-should we leave them as they are and not mess anything up or move them to all the same format, and what format if so?--Shika 02:06, 3 July 2011 (UTC)

This is difficult to judge now that the revision tables are gone, but you should know that if you were not a member of the old wiki DO NOT delete or suggest to delete anything that was from the old wiki. We want an article on anything and everything, Google highly indexes wikis and in order for us to get new users and readers we need more Google results.   • There is a torrent on TPB with every single image from the old wiki, download it, pick an article, search for the missing images (THEY ARE ALL THERE), upload them, rinse, repeat. It's not that difficult. I don't want to hear anyone complain about the images being missing when you are not making any attempt to replace them when they are all available for download. Alright well I was thinking once a week we could feature an old ED article that was good and has lost a nice amount of the pictures/gifs on it, feature it somewhere(BNA portal? Main page? I got an idea, and I may be a slowpoke about this if it's already there, but: try increasing task visibility? ie. list of needed shit and tasks to do around ED (at this time we have plenty) and place a link to that list either in navigation or at the very top of ED so it cascades to all pages? I know we have pages, but the real problem is so simply not enough people visiting those pages and lists of needed stuff on ED.

Well this is what I am working on, it's not a place to add things we need, but more of a portal for regular site maintenance. It's not finished yet tho, it is just a copypaste from the old wiki, but almost all of the links in the template are getting changed so don't take it to seriously as of right now.

Regarding our donations and financial situation

Just so you guys know, Plimus froze our donation account and is holding all the donations we got the other weekend for a period of 90 days.

This is because apparently is it against their TOS to use their service for donations. Someone notified them as to our violation of their user agreement and as such they froze our account.

Could this be avoided in the future by selling an actual product instead of soliciting "donations"? For example, you could create a copyrighted image and sell licensed copies of that image for $20 apiece (with no limit on the number of copies an individual could purchase). Because of this we are just scraping by. Once our funds get released around the 15th of October we will be ballin' and able to pay our bills for a year (That was the plan to begin with before they decided to be gay), but for the next 2 and a half months things will be tight.

We may have to beg for donations again in order to pay for next month. We don't want to, but if it comes down to it that is what will have to be done. Also we may be adding a couple of ads to the forum or something, we haven't decided though.
