Resident Evil 2
Resident Evil 2, known in Japan as Biohazard 2 is a dual protagonist, survival horror, zombie game that would have you going all over the Racoon City police department for a gold coin to put in a water fountain's palm just so you can use the bathroom.
While it is far superior to its predecessor in that it has better voice acting and doesn't revert to cheesy dialogue such as A Jill Sandwich, it unfortunately has very little replay value for anyone other than hardcore gamers; the jump scares quickly lose their magic. There isn't really anything new introduced to the game other than trying to get through with less time for the S Rank ending or playing at harder difficulty.
Resident Evil 2 is most famous for causing people to rage quit over the ammo that's rarer than an Amy Schumer show where she doesn't talk about her vagina. In addition, the walking bullet sponge Tyrant instills frustration in all casuals but the real gamers amongst us know better: We pound the trigger key harder than we'd pound our non-existent girlfriends. Another source of frustration and petulant rage quitting are the zombie dogs that attack in packs of 3 or more and move like a jitterbug with Parkinson's.
Most people blame the archaic inventory system that is not big enough and forces players to micro manage their supplies while also making them decide between more ammo or health items.
Despite all of its faults, it is the best selling game of the series.

| Leon S Kennedy | Probably the dumbest character in all of video game history because he shows up for work as a rookie cop 2 months after 90% of Racoon City has been turned into zombies thanks to the T-virus. He's the main reason that this game is the best selling of the series because girls think he's twink-a-licious. Leon has about as much depth as you would expect from a cop in a zombie movie that is only there to get girls to watch. An all around basic bitch, every woman in the game seems to own his ass. | |
| Claire Redfield | The secondary protagonist of the game after Leon S Kennedy, Claire is a slightly more plausible character in that she's a college student who came to Racoon City looking for her brother Chris Redfield. Created solely to tick the Strong Female Character box, Claire only stands out because she is standing next to a twink. Not really popular with girls because they see her as a feminized version of her brother and because she starts with some of the worst weapons imaginable. Obviously (and luckily), she's not a typical college snowflake because she can hold her own in a fight and doesn't go cry in a corner like most women would when faced with the apocalypse. | |
| Ada Wong | The backstabbing, cross-eyed Azn spy of the game. Working for Umbrella, the bad guys, in order to make it out of Raccoon City alive, but is willing to help Leon because, like every girl that plays it, she wants to give him a snag. She also serves as proof of Leon's masculinity when she climbs up a ladder before him, Leon looks up and finally goes through puberty when he likes what he sees under her dress. | |
| Sherry Birkin | The ultimate pedo bait of the series. You will wish you can kill her, but then you realize she's not the annoying type. Ruins Claire's scenario after they meet because she's literally a walking target to get separated and captured; even the zombies only want to get a piece of her loli ass. Her father William Birkin invented the G-virus that is turning everyone into zombies and was assassinated by HUNK and the Umbrella mercenaries sent by Wesker so he could acquire it for Umbrella. | |
| Albert Wesker | The douchebag villian of the game that is working for Umbrella to acquire the G-virus from William Birkin by any means necessary. Has Ada on his payroll and tried the honeypot scenario but it didn't work on William. At the end of the game, he injects himself with the G-virus and it is revealed that due to his strong ego he stops himself from going full mindless zombie. | |
| William Birkin | The scientist that invented the G-virus, and father of Sherry Birkin. In a coup to acquire the G-virus, Umbrella sent HUNK and his mercenaries to assassinate him because he can't have nice things. Knowing the power of the virus he purposely injects himself with it, transforming into a monster that reverts to killing everything in sight and mutates into different forms every time he's defeated. He also wanders around searching for Sherry for some incest monster tentacle pr0n while screaming her name. His 5th and final G-form from the G-virus somehow mutates to a giant blob-like anal flesh creature with tentacles, eyeballs and fangs. |
