Fragmentation

How do we avoid fragmentation of the effort to revive/provide a worthy successor to ED? There are other projects and forums doing the same thing as us, such as this one. 94.195.49.119 08:33, 16 April 2011 (UTC)

I think the best thing we can do is promote this one quite a bit, and emphasize that we're getting most of our articles in the proper HTML formatting, along with the amount of articles we already have. We have over 6,000, whereas lurkmoar has around 400 and wikichan is under 100. And yes, I say we keep the name ED. Exploding Knees 14:21, 16 April 2011 (EDT)

I know one or two ED mods went to lurkmoarpedia; whether they'll jump ship once they realize that site's losing the race remains to be seen.   • I'm an actual ED sysop. From encyclopedia dramatica. Beaurocrats here should be able to confirm this through my conf email, and then packet the IP. If any ED sysops are here then then ED quit them before they quit ED as far as I know. So they're not part of the dramacracy. I'm not some official conduit but given the confusion and the mix of a thousand butthurts as well as the opportunistic "down with ED" types who all got involved in this (not here specifically but in the whole debacle) I thought I'd sign up. Its not ask a sysop anything time, but you can spam my talk page if one of the beauros here confirms that I'm wit/zac browser/larumph. -Wit 14:16, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
  • HElo zaiger here. Also ED quit itself, nobody quit ED. Anyone who comes here from the old wiki is coming here because they love ED and want to continue editing ED. Sherrod has this "Get in line or GTFO, sheeple" attitude that is really concerning. I signed up to edit Encyclopedia Dramatica because it is Encyclopedia Dramatica. Proposed Article of the Nao

I just pointed Encyclopedia Dramatica:Article of the Nao/April 30, 2011 to Adolf Hitler, since April 30 is when he became An hero. Arguably the article sucks. Almost certainly I fucked up and didn't set something needed for the Main Page to point to it then. But no one else set it so that's what I did. Wnt 04:13, 28 April 2011 (UTC)

  • We still require a sysop to change all the wording to "article of the nao" isntead of "today's featured articles", because it keeps saying "check back later for today's" when we've actually got one set up. New mascot

I think we need a new mascot to replace Ae-tan. The reason I am saying this is because Ae-tan is now tainted, she was everything ED was but ED was taken down by sheer irony/treachery/greed/ect. Request to have an UltramanCronos page made

Some guy who does does reviews of Godzilla toys for a living and thinks it somehow makes him made of win and gets butthurt when he losses to little kids on X-Box Live and records it to show how "unfair" the world is to him and how everyone is being "mean" to him and how he's the only "smart" person". He also geys upset instead of flattered when little kids try to copy his reviewing "style" because there "stealing" his "original" ideas and taking away his partnership money from Youtube. Not only does he review toys but he also plays with them, keep in mind this is a 21 year old man. And god only knows how much money he wastes on filling up his room with littlerily 1000's of these things some costing $100's. Basically a major attention whore on youtube. His real name is Frank Montalbano 3rd. He lives in California, go figure.

I noticed an old ED user named Dr. Rushberry who I think was a past ED sysop. I noticed hes been editing at OhInternet but I want to know if he's actually joined the sellouts or not? Since most old ED users who might have edited OhInternet because they didn't know of this ED. If so he will be needed to be added to the sellouts template. If not then alright.
