Question

Hey, I was just wondering if there's any point in having a separate article for User:Equivamp when there's a perfectly good userpage. It seems like a vanity article to me. Also, it's worth noting that the user in question seems to be in the early stages of edit warring over said article and reverting changes. A userpage is one thing, but obsessively reverting edits to a newly created article, especially one about yourself, isn't exactly the kind of behavior we encourage here, is it? What I'm really worried about are issues of notability. I just don't see the point in having a separate article (and a link to it in several templates) when the userpage is blank. What's on the article now is the kind of stuff that I would usually attribute to userpages. The article is still new I guess, but I think it needs a lot more content down the line, like external links, drama, images, etc. I remember something about her being an internet sissy fight with someone or other (there was a template saying as much), perhaps descriptions and relevant screencaps would make it better? Why on the kittens page all of a sudden does a man start screaming really loudly? That wasn't there before. Haha, thanks. I've thought about it, but the truth is I probably won't be able to edit as actively as I have been once I go back to college in 2 weeks. It's kind of hard to explain without being tl;dr, but the reason I've been editing so much over the summer is that there's literally nothing to do where I live, and my social life is basically put on hold during the summer since all my friends live 10 hours away (i.e. the city my college is in). In a few weeks I'll be able to hang out with my friends, so I might not have as much time to edit. Plus I'm trying to get into grad school, so I need to spend a lot of time studying during the year. Moves

Cool that'll protect them from vandalism and stuff. There'll be more to come of course since I sorta picked them at random. One thing I was wondering, with the move to Wikichan (which I contemplated doing but was waiting for Z to get back as to what to do) would it be okay to leave behind redirects in the future rather than setting them to be suppressed? Exceptions being pages that already have articles like Candlejack which I put there to begin with and just put a link in the see also.

One reason for this is because in some cases, pages actually linked to each other and having a redirect would allow people to just click it. Especially with the articles being locked.

Another thing I was wondering is, rather than being locked, would it be possible to perhaps protect them in the future? In a lot of cases I was not able to directly copy the source code (actually majority) and had to just copy the text, so there are cases where additional formatting needs to be done that I might have missed. [[1]] in particular I had to remake the sections but got sleepy and crashed. Was hoping some regular editors might fix it up. I guess I can still do that by being an editor though, just means no sharing the workload I guess :(

Part of the reason I'm unsure about whether or not to preceded with wikichan/ is because even though the content is being copied from there, it didn't actually originate there since it was basically just documenting 4chan stuff. Stuff like Blindmute Loli had a page on wikichan long before the old ED or Shii did, but it's just got its name rather than being a sub-page because Wikichan didn't own the meme, just helped to popularize it. Noticed Template:Wikichan mentioned on JT's page, looks awesome.
