'New' and 'Old' bullshit
Can we perhaps get rid of this 'New' and 'Old' bullshit? It makes no sense to have a "Last Thursday" section and then for the introductory paragraph talk about the 'New' and 'Old' ED. Makes much more sense to just call this ED. Message From Xenu 17:41, 26 April 2011 (UTC)

Hagal rune
The hagal rune stands for destruction and also for growth potential through destruction of the old. Why don't take that as the new symbol for ED, I think it would really fit, because the æ also derived from the norse.

I'd like to propose a new thing to the new ED.
A simple change. Maybe make a template to other articles, regarding Porn.
What I see is: With this new comeback from the ashes, I really expect a little turmoil from ED. Wich will new new donations, and maybe even a new ED shop before it's really back on the rails again. Such problem by bradwich can be blamed mostly on the images contained on the articles (Is this true or I'm just educated stupid?). And most of the articles have porn images in it.
So what I am proposing: When porn of something can easily be found, don't upload it here (leave that to the faggots at Rapidshare/Megaupload/other shitty sites). ED is NOT your fapping place (well, to mostly... I think...).
Regarding Rule 34, Furry art and Hentai: If it's easily found on Paheal, e621, FurAffinity, WWOEC, Lu.Scio.Us and etc. Don't post the images here. Instead, give the people a link in the See Also session with an explanation. That's the same change I saw on the old ED in the Krystal article. They removed most of the text and other shit too (although I think it was only to troll furries that visit ED).
However: If said artist makes it hard to see his porns and/or he only displays it when you pay to view (i.e. Dr. Comet, Jay Naylor, etc), you are free to upload some images (BUT NOT HIS ENTIRE WORK). If people want to find such images, they can do it on The Google, not on our beautifull ED.
Regarding Normal Porn: Fuck, I mean. Look at the article Tits. Of course some images are really needed, but people will keep uploading stuff to it nevertheless. It's the same rule used for the furfags: If it's something you screencaped out of Youporn, Redtube, Pornhub, etc, don't post it here. If it is regarding rare footage of some camwhore taking off it's clothes, think about it: Wouldn't /b/ be more happy about it? If you really don't mind/care, just post the damn thing!
TL;DR: If you can find porn elsewhere, post the link, not the images. If you're a dick sucking faggot and cannot control yourself, upload just SOME of the images. ED IS NOT YOUR HAPPY PLACE (or not...). Aff01000001 10:33, 2 June 2011 (UTC)
- Except it's not porn. Pornography isn't defined by the content, it's defined by its purpose. That's why you normally won't get arrested for taking nudey pictures of your kids in the bathtub...but if you go and upload them to some website that specializes in catering to pedophiles, then you can be arrested. I hate to say it, but that's utter bullshit. Whoever was behind killing the wiki (was it GV?) dealt it a mighty blow we're still recovering from. Perhaps the change in adminsitration could have long-term benefits, but I don't know how long it will take until we see enough of them to outweigh the lost content. There were a lot of articles that never got restored, we lost the histories, the user pages, makes me rage. Ty-c

- We didn't lose ~all~ the histories and talk pages. Myself and others actually created a number of backups/screencaps of dozens of talk pages from the old ED, some of which I've already restored. A lot of the articles that were lost, that I've seen, weren't really all that spectacular either. There were quite a few I had screen caps and saved material from that are simply ~gone~ completely, but it's mostly really off the wall or really lesser known kooks...not exactly the highlights of the site. Like FireGoron's ~multiple~ pages...now he only has ONE and most of the best material has already been restored on it. It's actually kind of better like it is now. *shrugs* --Onideus Mad Hatter
