Rick and Morty is a scientific clusterfuck, and Adult Swim's attempt to be Edg, Edge and Edgy with their content, which just pretty much says they'll stoop to ripping off a checklist of popular shows and ideas, and make it too fucked up for any other channel to put on in general. As with all other Adult Swim shows, it entails the many sexual and gore-filled adventures of a boy and his drunken grandpa, with the boy, Morty, being a typical, hormonally-raged pussy teenager and the grandpa, Rick, a convicted, mentally ill mad scientist. It was originally just a merciful film short before Cartoon Network found out they had too much money, so they threw it at this and boom, in 2013, we have our show, also comprised of a conglomerate of shows to rip off such as Futurama's comedy, the scientific ideas of Back to the Future to an interstellar scale, the inter-dimensional travel of Doctor Who, the child appeal of Gravity Falls, and so on, with animation that isn't much above what high-school, first year art students could make in their personal deviantART doodlebooks. The background characters also look either still or unnaturally zombified, and the main ones sounding bored as hell when they're not getting themselves killed by revolting blue Muppet clones or Morty-crazed, hungry, mantis mutants.
This piece is about an alcoholic inventor and his grandson that try to balance out their boring home life and going on sci-fi adventures for no reason except that Rick has about 400 glugs of alcohol from his flask a day and wants to do out-of-this-world crap that Morty wants to say no to, but since he's as gullible as you can get, he goes anyway and almost dies and gets traumatized every time. They go to places such as in a dead person's body to try and revive him before running from a tidal wave of feces, other planets where Morty is sexually insulted by one of the local alien gays because CP laws are different on other planets apparently, ripping off Lawnmower Man point for point except with using dogs, putting enough gore and guts in every episode to make anyone interested in guro weep happily, being more than happy to promote dream BDSM incest with the older sister and showing an old, wrinkly and thin body in piercings and bondage gear too, the typical fare for being oh so edgey.
There's currently 11 episodes out, which is thankfully short, but it's been recently renewed for another season of retarded and gore. How exciting- For a SyFy fan if Sharknado is on and even they think that's not enough bullshit.
Characters
Rick Sanchez - A scientist that always drinks and drools and looks like he doesn't give a shit about his grandson and family, because he doesn't. Invents too much pointless crap that can destroy the world and always drags his virgin grandson into his escapades to help him fix his own problems. Half of the titular duo that is most likely diagnosed for several mental illnesses.
Morty Smith - A stammering mess, the other half of the duo that is always tagging along with Rick to fix his problems, sometimes against his will. May also be growing mentally unstable for all the trauma he gets put through on each adventure, from the 14-year-old boy getting sexually assaulted by aliens to seeing his older sister in next to nothing to getting to second base with a girl while inside a dead Santa hobo's body, even though that doesn't count and he still never got some. The most easily influenced kid you can meet, and will likely kill himself by the end of the series due to the trauma.
Jerry Smith - A jobless father, more concerned for himself over his own family and keeps trying his best to think Rick doesn't exist due to his inflated ego. Because of this, his wife leaves him constantly for real men who actually pay attention to the shit around them and have a pair of balls bigger than peas. Morty gets his pussy personality from him.
Beth Smith - The only one that has the balls, making Jerry gay, in the relationship. A cardiac surgeon for horses, she gives them both beating hearts and enraged boners at the sight of her swaying ass. The handjobs, fellatio and anal sex she gives them is just an after-surgery check-up list to see if their new hearts work, she swears! Constantly cucks her husband in favor of the equines.
Summer Smith - The typical "popular girl" of the family, wanting to do whatever she can to be the most popular girl in school and to her friends.
Jessica - Morty's crush. Has literally no personality whatsoever and only exists for Morty to have something to want to stick his dick inside. But that'll never happen because she's too busy sucking nigger cock to even know that he exists. In one episode, Morty gives her what basically amounts to roofies, which more or less ends up destroying the world, so Rick and Morty have to restart in another reality.
Brad - Jessica's boyfriend. Just as bland as her, and serves as the show's resident "jock bully" stereotype. His other primary function is to take all the white wimminz so beta pussies like Morty can't have them.
What adventures Morty has had that made him have nightmares
- Hiding tree seeds up his ass to make him smart, then leaving him in a writhing, dying mess on the floor until they get more.
- Being chased by a ball-chinned, melted, hot-pink Freddy clone.
- Being chased by viruses and a wave of shit in a dead man's body while the family outside has their internets taken away by the cuck.
- Trying to make his bland crush like him by giving her some altered roofies in a desperate attempt to get some, only to have everyone else on Earth turn into mutant mantises and try to eat him. Then turning into a mutant himself.
- Buying a sentient sex doll, then one or several romps later, raising what amounts to Satan's murder-baby. Still doesn't count because it was a toy, not a real wimmins.
- Getting sexually attacked by a flaming homo alien hungry for teen ass in a bar bathroom during his first and only time leading him and Rick on a Jack and the Beanstalk ripoff adventure. Depending on the planet they were on, it may or may not have been legal.
- Seeing 27 of his grandfather's inter-dimensional clones get slaughtered before his eyes, in enough bloody detail to make any guro enthusiast cream themselves. Are we edgy yet?
- Seeing his older sister, while intruding dreams, in stripper clothes coming onto him.
- Being a part of an alien tentacle rape party, then being beamed onto a planet where more testicle aliens use them as sex toys for all eternity.
