Before making your first article look over Encyclopedia Dramatica:How 2 EDit for Dummies. If you don't, it is unlikely that your article will survive for more than sixty seconds and you risk being banned by Special:ListAdmins.
We realize a lot of you are busy or may be new to ED, so here's just the most important info:
- Read Encyclopedia Dramatica:How 2 EDit for Dummies. Seriously. The information contained within is invaluable. Further tutorials of use can be found here.
- To answer a message, reply on the user's talk page (Tab at the top that says 'discussion').
- Sign your comments by using four tildes (like this ~~~~)
- These are the sysops. If you have a problem, talk to them. They're here to help; we promise.
- The TJC is the community portal. It's linked to from every page; just look at the top left of the page. Check it daily.
- Use Special:Upload to upload pictures. Be sure to give them meaningful names. Also, do not upload any CP or Bestiality pr0n or you will be b&.

Hey there! We're glad you decided to join the ED crew, it's always good to have another editor. However, you're making a common mistake by adding "sometime last Thursday" to an article. You weren't there Last Thursday. It's not a big deal, a lot of new people make the same mistake, but it is something we generally try to discourage. If you want some tips on improvement, try reading your welcome message again (It's got a lot of useful links), reading more articles to get the feel of ED, and reading the Style Guide for help. If you have a question, try asking an admin or the person who left you this message for help. |
ED for noobs

From the looks of Recent Changes, it looks like you are attempting to write a new article on ED for noobs. Please be advised that you should create this article in your userspace here and work on it before you contact an editor or a sysop to move it to mainspace. If you don't know what to do, here are some tips:
- Do not create your article in the main namespace. Work on it here.
- Read Encyclopedia Dramatica:LULZ, Encyclopedia Dramatica:How 2 EDit for Dummies, and Encyclopedia Dramatica:Required Reading.
- Make it long enough to be worth reading (Several paragraphs, at least).
- Use headings and insert images.
- Link to a few outside sources to help establish internets relevance.
