James A. Freeman AKA Jim Freeman AKA Mystic AKA Mystikal AKA Mystikwarrior AKA orolan is a registered sex offender and RSO activist. In 1997, at the age of 37, Jim was convicted on charges related to the sexual abuse of a child under the age of 16. Part of his sentence required Jim to register as a sex offender after his release from prison. Disgruntled with the newly imposed requirements of his registration, Freeman, along with fellow sex offender Evil-unveiled.com/Tom Madison, helped to co-found Evil-unveiled.com/SOhopeful International, an advocacy group for sex offenders. In fact, until very recently, Jim served in the capacity of Executive Director for Evil-unveiled.com/SOhopeful International in addition to functioning in the capacity of the groups Legal Director.

Jim served countless hours with this organization whose primary objective is to abolish the laws and restrictions to which sex offenders are subjected. Through Evil-unveiled.com/SOhopeful International, which currently has chapters in all 50 US States as well as members in Canada and the United Kingdom, Jim espoused that the requirements placed upon sex offenders are "unconstitutional," "unnecessary," and place an "unfair burden" onto offenders and their families. Yes, that's right..."an unfair burden on sex offenders!" Jim seems to enjoy presenting himself, and fellow registered sex offenders, as "victims."

The mention that Jim served as Executive Director of Evil-unveiled.com/SOhopeful International International until recently is for good reason. As part of an international sting, Jim Freeman has been arrested by the FBI and indicted by federal grand jury on multiple charges, including: engaging in a child exploitation enterprise, conspiracy, advertisement of child pornography, transportation of child pornography, receipt of child pornography, and obstruction of justice. The U.S. Attorney’s Office will be prosecuting the case.

Prosecutors allege Freeman, and at least 11 United States citizens, used large file-sharing networks to share child pornography over the Internet and installed "sophisticated encryption methods" to avoid detection. Over the course of a two-year investigation, the group exchanged over 400,000 images of children, including toddlers, being drugged, raped, and molested. Jim Freeman, co-founder and Executive Director of Evil-unveiled.com/SOhopeful International, a man who repeatedly lobbied for less restrictive sex offender laws, on the premise that sex offenders don't pose an "imminent danger" to society because they have the "lower recidivism rates than any other crime" was indicted on MULTIPLE counts of child pornography.

As attention grabbing as they are, these charges don't really come as that much of a surprise. There are a lot of people out there who would beg to differ on just how much on an "imminent danger" Jim and his sex offender cohorts present. Despite what groups like Evil-unveiled.com/SOhopeful International, Evil-unveiled.com/SOclear Media Productions, Evil-unveiled.com/Sex Offender Support and Education Network, and Evil-unveiled.com/Roar for Freedom would have you believe, the laws and restrictions sex offenders are obligated to live by are in place for good reason. Pedophiles, especially, have quite poor rehabilitation rates, as evidenced by Jim's recent re-arrest and federal indictment.

Rather than allow the offender to remain if the daycare is opened later, the law should mandate that daycares(or any other named place) can not be opened or built within 2,500 feet of the known residence of a sex offender. Doing so would be punishable by a mandatory 30 years in prison.

Libraries are NOT for children. They're for everybody. If the library wants to hold Children's Story Hour in the same room at the same time as the 'Feng Shui and Your Love Life' class I suggest you see to it the librarian is fired. I'm not much on three-strikes laws, but I think that when a person gets up into double-digit offenses, it's time to lock them up forever.

I'm all for preventing predators from hanging out at places like these for no reason.....but....some predators are not the monsters many of you perceive them to be. Granted most are. But not all. Some predators have families. Spouses and children.

The City Attorney should revisit this ordinance with the above in mind and amend it to allow predators at these places if they have an actual reason to be there and are with their own child.

...very few registered offenders have been clinically diagnosed as pedophiles. As a 'class', sexual offenders have the second-lowest recidivism rate of all criminal offenses. Only murder has a lower rate.

A person who:

(2) Commits actual or simulated sexual intercourse, deviate sexual intercourse, sexual bestiality, masturbation, sadomasochistic abuse, actual lewd exhibition of the genitals, or any act or conduct which simulates that sexual battery is being or will be committed upon any child under the age of 16 years or forces or entices the child to commit any such act;

(3) Commits an act defined as sexual battery under s. 794.011(1)(h) upon any child under the age of 16 years; or

(4) Knowingly commits any lewd or lascivious act in the presence of any child under the age of 16 years, without committing the crime of sexual battery, commits a felony of the second degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082, s. 775.083, or s. 775.084. Neither the victim's lack of chastity nor the victim's consent is a defense to the crime proscribed by this section. A mother's breastfeeding of her baby does not under any circumstance violate this section.

A person who:

(3) Commits an act defined as sexual battery under s. 794.011(1)(h) upon any child under the age of 16 years; or

794.011(1)(h) "Sexual battery" means oral, anal, or vaginal penetration by, or union with, the sexual organ of another or the anal or vaginal penetration of another by any other object; however, sexual battery does not include an act done for a bona fide medical purpose.
